- Nasir "Nas" Jones
I have to admit, that says a lot. I am an addict for sneakers, I do have an affinity for good chronic and as far as the B!(#&$ with beepers... who doesn't love a young lady who knows how to communicate. Given my use of a hip-hop quote, I probably don't have to tell you my favorite type of music. As far as my demographics; I was born and raised right here in Chicago, it's the greatest city on earth (I am currently trying to visit as many areas of the world as I can to support this theory). I am the youngest of 2 children, my sister's name is Dana. Over the course of my life I have come to believe that her sole purpose on this earth is to show me that she is everything I'm not, but we'll get into that at a later date. My parents, Michael and Pamela, are pretty dope if I do say so. I have a bunch of friends, too many to name but I could always use a few more. I would feel dishonest if I didn't mention, during an introductory blog post, that I have sickle cell anemia. I was diagnosed at 2 weeks old and it has been the single largest hurdle in my life ever since. I don't say that in hope of earning sympathy or anything like that, there are millions of people in the world whose life has probably been exponentially more difficult than mine, but it is what it is. Some people might read this and wonder, "why is this blog title Jordan Era? He's not even talking about Mikes" Sorry. If you are looking for info on the latest Air Jordan releases you're in the wrong place. While I do love kicks (see top) and definitely love Mikes, the title is not a reference to footwear but to a period in history. The "Jordan Era" is when I grew up... We can talk about this more tomorrow.
